Why Sponsor

Thank you for you for your interest in child sponsorship.

Many missions and organizations have child sponsorship programs. Perhaps you are wondering why this is so important or “popular”? Perhaps you wonder if a sponsor really helps the children, or even if the money actually is used for the education of the child.

Although parents in Haiti love their children to go to school, the expense of sending them to school is overwhelming!! Most families struggle all year long to raise a pig so they can sell it to pay for at least 1 or 2 of their children to go to school. But of course, this money doesn’t usually provide for books. The student may go all year with no books to do their homework. So Living Word Ministries desires to provide education and books for each child in school. IF you sponsor a child, that child will be taken care of with your gifts.

A sponsor will have the opportunity to be involved in the child’s life through letters and photos.

You are also helping the child learn about God. When they attend school, then they also attend church on Sunday. In one of the villages, children attendance in church has tripled since we have a school in that village. Sponsoring a child will not only educate, but also bring the Gospel to the school, the child, and the home!!

Life for a child is not easy. Most of them work hard. Children grow up without toys. They play games with ropes, balls, rocks and running games. They are very happy.

Every child loves to learn and loves school. It is a shame for them not to be able to attend school. Some children don’t have the opportunity to go school until they are older. For example, at 16 years old, they may only be in the 4th grade.

Is sponsoring important?? Absolutely!!
