Mission Teams

Short term mission teams have served in different capacities for Living Word Ministries. We have recently completed a conference center and a medical clinic. We prefer small teams—not more than 8 people. There are many reasons for this, the main reason being, transportation from the airport to the village. Most work sites are at least 120 miles from Port au Prince (7 hour drive). The villages are very remote, no indoor plumbing, electricity, stores or any modern conveniences. Often there is a water shortage, as well. So with large teams all these inconveniences are magnified.

Construction and medical teams are the most needed. But we also have opportunities for teams for vacation Bible school for children and pastors conferences.

If you are adventurous and enjoy the challenge of life without conveniences for a few days, you may consider to joining a team to Haiti. Many people come with the intent of blessing the natives, which they do, but also find they have been blessed by the natives.
