Medical

Medical help is very limited in the rural regions of Haiti. If a hospital is needed, most people would need to travel several hours to find help. Medical teams that have served in different villages have provided much needed help and medications. We have had our clinics under trees, in classrooms, and on porches of private homes.Most people never go beyond the witch doctor for a cure. The witch doctor cannot help them, but usually tells them someone has cast a spell on them. Our medical teams serve not only in medicine, but it also becomes a tool of evangelism. Each patient that comes to the clinic is prayed for and also offered a new life in Christ.

We have heard many testimonies how the foreign people show love and kindness to those who come to the clinic. Sometimes their complaints seem very trivial to the team, but to a village that has no medical treatment, a tylenol is a blessing. If we can serve a people through medicine as a tool for the Gospel, then it is truly worth it.

We need Dental teams. Most people have never seen a dentist or have had any dental care, but need it desperately. Many have extreme pain, but have no dentist to help them. Some have walked for hours over the mountains in search of a dentist, but returned to their home with the same toothache.
