Goat Project
Thank you to all who contributed to the Goat Project. Over 60 children received a goat. This was a wonderful way to help families in an ongoing way. The children love to care for their goats, and they do a great job. Some of the goats have already been bred, and have babies. This was so exciting for the children.
The Goats that are in Haiti are not milking goats. We hope this will change in the near future, and that we will be able to have the bigger goat that produces milk which in turn could provide butter and cheese. The
goats are raised and then sold in the market. The money provides for school expenses as well as family needs. Children would rather have a goat than a toy.
Again, Thank you so much! For those of you who did not know about the project and would still like to be a part of this, go to the donate page and find different options for giving. Please be sure to indicate "goat project". The cost for one goat is $40.
New Home Received
Thank you to all who have donated to the construction project for families whose houses were severally damaged or destroyed from the earthquake or hurricanes. This family of nine was living in a one room hut. They moved into this house before it had a door. They were so excited to have a new home.
