We are excited to announce that a new indigenous missionary class has been started in Mayette. There are 14 students. The goal is to teach them biblical basis of missions and hands on experiences. After some months of classroom studies, the students will go to mountain villages to share the gospel. Churches will be planted in areas that have no church. The students are excited. After 2 other villages heard of the classes, they requested a class in their village. So every time Patrick travels to Haiti, He will teach classes.
Another new project is Classroom Sponsorship. We have had child sponsorship available for many years. How great would it be if 20 students and their teacher could be sponsored by your Bible study group, prayer group or just a few of your friends that gather for coffee every week. For $400 a month, this would be a reality. These 20 students would receive their textbooks, uniforms, tennis shoes, school fees and the teacher's wage would be subsidized.

A new church building is being erected in Demeline! For 10 years this church has been worshipping under palm leaves. They also used this for the school classes. So a building is a very exciting project for this community. There will be a team going down to put up the rafters. Then later a team to paint it.
Demeline was the 3rd church plant for Living Word Ministries. It is located on top of a mountain. People walk down the mountain for water. Demeline also people affected by the recent cholera epidemic. Praising God that few people died.
