Schools

Living Word Ministries has established a school in three different villages where a church has been planted. The schools provide Kindergarten - 6th grade education. There are approximately 400 students total. After 6th grade the student is required to go to another village or to Port au Prince for continuing education. In the near future, we hope to provide a secondary school.

The school teachers are required to study one year in the Bible School. Lessons are taught in primarily Creole. Most subjects are similar to schools in other countries—math, reading, Haitian History, Science, and Grammar (French and Creole).

Most families are unable to afford school for their children. Therefore, we have set up a sponsorship program for them. If you are interested in sponsoring a child or a school, check for more information under Sponsorship or contact us. Presently we have 100 students who have sponsors.
